Rain animation tutorial

This tutorial explains how to make animated rain on dollz. It uses PhotoShop and ImageReady.
1. Make your doll.

2. Draw a background.

3. Make a new layer. Use a stipple brush and a light colour to draw pixels all over it. In PhotoShop 5.5 I used a dissolve setting of my brush at low opacity.

4. Appy Motion Blur (Filters=>Blur=>Motion blur in Photoshop menu).

5. It should look like rain.

6. Duplicate the layer and flip it. That's the second rain layer which is shown here with the first one invisible.

7. In menu, go to File=>Jump=>ImageReady. There, in an animation palette, make a new frame. Make sure there is only one layer of rain visible in each frame, and they're different ones. The layers are turned invisible by clicking on eyes in the layers palette.
